To know affirmation is to own affirmation. Owning an idea with confidence keeps you moving forward. Essentially you are declaring what feels real to you. The word real takes on different meanings for different people. Is real what feels the most comfortable or is it the reality you are pursuing? Or is it both? Your reality is a thread that connects your brain to your heart. Think of it as a road that you’ve traveled many times over. You can envision each turn, each bump and each passing road sign. There’s a sense of comfort in that experience. Your reality is what is directly in your view and directly in your heart.

Journal Time:

  1. What is the most real characteristic about yourself?

  2. How has that characteristic changed the course of your expected life path?

  3. What positive light emerged from that situation? Make it one word.

  4. Take that answer and write down every emotional connection you have to it.

  5. Which emotional connection feels the most whole?

  6. You have now reached a point of affirmation.

Let's Improve:

All of your emotional connections are waiting for further discovery. There is a reason you listed them. Take a moment to think through these emotions and be open to the connections you are feeling most pulled toward. You should feel an overwhelming sense of comfort in the connections you choose.

Listening allows us to fully see our future, but impatience prevents us from leaving the present.

The Takeaway:

Rise to this occasion! You've got this! Determine your future by affirming what is truly purposeful in the environment in which you surround yourself. It's not always about mending an emotional bond you have toward something. Affirmation is knowing without a shadow of a doubt your truth. I am challenging you to an additional project.

  1. Continue on your journey with a particular affirmation.

  2. Take that affirmation and pivotally place it as a priority.

  3. Allow the affirmation to positively change your life.

This will involve research, brainstorming, effort and time, but it's worth it! If at anytime it is not fun or the process loses drive, reassess your affirmation. Return back to the beginning and restart the process. This journey is about discovering the unique light that lies within only you. You possess energy and light, but the key is .......

Follow the lights within you that were destined to shine more brightly than others.
